We left by boat at 6AM and had a two hour ride to the next lodge. It is deeper in the jungle and has no electricity or bathrooms - only latrines. We had breakfast at the lodge and then walked to the canopy walk. It took 40 min. to walk through the jungle. It is primary forest and at this point is a preserve. The canopy walk is the only one in the Amazon. It goes up to a high point of 800 ft. There were very few birds as it was hot and late morning by the time we got there. but the bromeliads were beautiful and the view amazing. WE could hear birds and I spotted a beautiful blue one early on the walk but that was all. We walked back another trail and looked at rubber trees, walking palms, porcupine palms and many things.
Lunch at the lodge and then on to the Medicine man.
