We also visited the village where they live now. It was layed out in a square with a commons area in the center. About 500 people live there. We walked into a man's house. He was feeding the chickens by husking and taking the grain off the cob. The chickens are not eaten by the people. They raise chickens for income only. The chickens are sold in Iquitos and they buy things they need with the money. The house was very clean and orderly. The man lives there with his wife and 20 yr old son.
Outside on the commons, kids were playing soccer. They play soccer everywhere. Even at the lodge there is a small field where the staff play soccer.
