Machupichu Nov.5 & 6

We took the train from Urambamba to Machupichu. This is the only way to get there- no roads. Or you can hike the Inca trail. This takes 4 days and can be done on your own or pay porters to carry your packs.

The railroad is narrow gauge and quite rocky but beautiful scenery for 1.5 hrs. We ate a box lunch on the train and arrived at Machupichu mid afternoon. This was nice as many people are leaving at that time. We then rode a bus up 2,000 ft. to the entrance. They allow 1500 people in per day.
